Teeth can become crooked and misaligned. This situation just sets you up for more problems and the remaining teeth are even more susceptible decay.
Tooth loss can also make it hard to speak properly. It can also be difficult to chew food and can lead to poor nutrition. And of course, all of this brings self-esteem issue and lack of self-confidence to the forefront.

When we observe all the issues that can arise from missing teeth, it is vital that we seek a solution for this as soon as possible. There are many ways to handle missing teeth such as bridges and partial dentures, but these solutions carry separate issues of their own.
Dental implants have become the most popular way of protecting your mouth from more issues down the road, while offering you a very natural look replacement for the missing tooth or teeth.
Surgically Implanted
05
A dental implant is surgically implanted into the jawbone by an oral surgeon. The material used in the jawbone implant is titanium which is very compatible with human tissue. This titanium implant serves as the replacement of the root of the tooth, thus the support mechanism for the rest of the system.
06
After the titanium implant has been surgically placed into the jawbone there will be a period of time that will be needed for healing. Once the healing has taken place the next step is with a prosthetic device. This device is connected to the titanium implant and is screwed into the top of the implant. This piece is known as an abutment. The function of the abutment is to hold the crown, the replacement tooth.
