In an effort to helping our vets, we will be offering dental examinations to veterans who may not be able to afford the dental care they need. We will offer these exams on April 21, 2017. Dr. Weinberg has been an advocate for our community and this is a part of her on-going efforts.
Reaching out to her fellow colleagues, Dr. Weinberg will be enlisting the help of other dentists who would like to participate and assist in this project Dentists Helping Vets in conjunction with Operation Enduring Warrior.
The exams will be taking place on April 21, 2017, and will be just the start of this project. Once a vet receives an exam, they will be receiving hygienic care with a treatment plan and then moved into the schedule with the goal of getting these vets who may be suffering from dental pain, out of pain, and giving them back their smiles. In addition, we are inviting anyone who would like to come by that day, starting at 9:00 am for coffee and doughnuts sponsored by our local Starbucks. Our efforts are also being supported by Henry Schein, a provider of our dental supplies. They will be supplying dental goodies bags.
Dr. Susan Weinberg has dentistry in her genes. Her father was also a dentist making her a second-generation dentist. She has been in the dental practice for over 30 years. All of that time has been in service to the Tigard and Beaverton communities. She maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association and The Oregon Dental Association.
She believes in giving back to her community. Dr. Weinberg contributes to Donate Dental Services which provides oral care for seniors with disabilities. The Tooth Taxi is another one of her philanthropic endeavors. The Tooth Taxi travels to schools in order to offer dental services to children in need. In addition to other local charities. Dr. Weinberg says “I am very grateful to all of my patients who I enjoy seeing and treating and who provide the means for me to give back.”
